In the beginning I went to school to become a scientist. I earned my Bachelor’s degree in Cell and Molecular Biology and quickly began working in research genetics at the California Institute of Technology. I worked alongside some of the most brilliant minds within the science community, but I still had a passion for a more creative side of me. So I enrolled in the Le Cordon Bleu College of Culinary Arts and completed an Associates degree of Culinary Arts. By combining my science background with cooking, I found I was proficient in baking and enjoyed that the most. However, the grueling hours of the hospitality industry did me no favors and I taught myself how to rotoscope and key footage to begin working in the television and movie industry. My husband helped my career as a rotoscope artist, but it was a bit short lived as I became pregnant with my first child and then everything went to shit. I became a full time mom and even had another kid! And here we are, a little over a decade later and I’m finally starting to take time for myself (in between quarantine homeschooling). I tapped into another talent I didn’t know I had, which is crocheting. With the help of books and YouTube, I found myself creating and whipping up dolls and toys just for fun. Now I make these toys for friends, family, and gifts. I also like to make fun and whimsical cakes for all occasions. From time to time I still find myself rotoscoping for current projects. I also want to be in a girl band.
